By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Milford woman who authorities believe was responsible for the death of a four-year old boy, who was it by a motor vehicle on Water Street in Milford on Easter Sunday, will be arraigned in Milford District Court this morning. 54-year old Melissa Knight is charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash after causing injuries that resulted in the death of Jonathan Loja and for misleading a police investigation. Knight brought her vehicle to Milford Police three-days after the accident after she had her vehicle detailed and tried to fix damage to the front end and lied to police as to how the vehicle was damaged. Milford Police Detectives and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office worked together issuing an arrest warrant for Knight yesterday and taking her into custody where she works at Lasell College in Newton at around 2:30 in the afternoon. Knight is being held at the Milford Police Station on 100-thousand dollars bail. She was brought to Milford District Court this morning to face the charges that could send her to jail for up to 20-years.
