Three Milford residents have been arrested and are facing similar drug charges. The arrests come as a result of an extensive investigation by Milford Police and a drug enforcement task force out of Worcester. 40 year old Nilsa Vega, her 19 year old son Santos Vega and 53 year old Radames Vargas, all of 59 Exchange Street in Milford, are charged with distribution of a class A substance, heroin, possession of a class A substance, and conspiring to violate drug laws. Nilsa Vega was also charged with possession of, and distribution of, a class B substance, cocaine.
According to the media release, Milford Police made the arrests on Thursday and were helped by a Franklin K9 unit. All three were arraigned in court on Friday.
As a result of the investigation, authorities also seized, not only heroin and cocaine, but also over $4,000 in cash and two motor vehicles.
