Ronald C. Paszkewicz, 66, of Uxbridge

Ronald C. Paszkewicz, 66, of Uxbridge formerly of Mendon passed away vacationing in Florida, Sunday, February 12, 2017. 

Ronald was a beloved area musician and was affectionately known as "Pesky". Ron's sweet sound of the tenor sax led many bands, including; Velveteens, Velvetones, Songbirds, Sky King, Pesky and the Playboys, Pesky and the North End All Stars, Pesky and the Polecats and also played with Tumbleweed and New Bay Colony. In May of 2015 he was inducted into the WMRC Local Music Hall of Fame as part of its inaugural class.

Ronald had worked with the Blackstone Millville Regional School District, St. Mary's Catholic High School in Milford and the Franklin School of Preforming Arts as a Music Educator for a number of years before retiring. After retiring from education, Ron continued private music lessons while owning a specialty advertising company. Through his company, Ron was able to generously donate merchandise to various local youth, church, nonprofit and education causes. 

He was born August 27, 1950 in Worcester, the son of the late Charles V. and Sylvia A. (Salatiello) Paszkewicz, Sr. He was a graduate of the Former St. Mary's CCHS in Milford, class of 1968 and of Berklee College of Music in Boston, class of 1972.

He leaves one brother, Charles V. Paszkewicz, Jr. of Uxbridge; a niece, Jill Paszkewicz of Springfield; and two nephews, Kevin, his wife Kristin and their daughter Kaylee Paszkewicz of Canton, and Jeffrey and his wife Melissa Paszkewicz of Morris Plains, NJ; many cousins, several aunts, one uncle and many dear friends. 

Visiting hours will be held Sun. Feb. 19, 2017 from 3-7 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge. 

A funeral Mass will be held Mon. Feb. 20, 2017 at 9 AM from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge. 

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Granite Street, Uxbridge.
