Robert L. Fisher, 77, of Uxbridge passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 in St. Camillus Health Center, Whitinsville. He was the husband of Elizabeth L. "Betty" (Estabrook) Fisher.
He was born in 1939 in Framingham, MA the son of the late George A. and Theresa E. (Kannally) Fisher and was a graduate of Millis High School, class of 1958. Bob was stationed at Otis Air Force Base during the Vietnam War.
Bob was a corporate pilot and flight instructor for many years and was based out of Norwood Airport.
In retirement, he turned his passions for photography and music into a successful business, focusing primarily on weddings. He enjoyed hockey, trap shooting, and tennis. He was also a former member of the John Warren Lodge AF & AM in Hopkinton.
In addition to his wife Betty of 52 years, he is survived by a son, Robert L. Fisher, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Blackstone; two daughters, Nicole Barton and her significant other Chris Hunt of Uxbridge, and, Amy and her husband Eliot Banks of Lee, ME; a brother, George "Buddy" Fisher and his wife Marlene of Millis, MA; a sister Joyce Fisher of Columbus, OH; and 9 grandchildren, Cameron, Rodney, Joey, Jesse, Alexandra, Molly, Maggie, Kayla, and Olivia.
Visiting hours will be held Tues. Feb. 21, 2017 from 4 – 8 PM in BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
