By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A Paxton man is sentenced to prison after pleading guilty yesterday in Worcester Superior Court to stealing close to one and-a-half million dollars from a Milford Real Estate company.
61-year old Michael Lussier was sentenced to two to three years in state prison to be followed by five-years probation after admitting he stole the money from F.R.E. Building Company in Milford where he worked for more than 25-years as controller and accounting manager. The Worcester County District Attorney’s office recommended a sentence of four to five years and ten-years probation telling the court the thefts occurred on hundreds of occasions between October of 2008 and January of 2014 with Lussier withdrawing money from company accounts and depositing the money into his own accounts. Milford Police investigated the thefts, discovered by the Chief Financial Officer, leading to Lussiers’ arrest two-years ago.
