There will be no override question on the annual town meeting warrant this spring in Northbridge. Selectmen dropped the idea this week as they formulate the new budget and the school committee works to make cuts in their new spending package. The committee is looking at $300 thousand in cuts and the layoff of five staff members and programs. Members have already instituted bussing fees which could bring in $400 thousand. Utility costs have been reduced and special ed students are being kept in the district to save $100 thousand.
