By MyFM's Jake Archer - The Millis boy’s volleyball team stayed undefeated on the year with a 3-1 victory over rival Milford in a Western Alliance Conference matchup. Senior Carter Burruss had a season-high 21 kills for Millis in the win. The Mohawks took the first two sets with relative ease by scores of 25-11 and 25-13 but dropped the third to Milford 25-20. Millis re-focused and made sure Milford couldn’t rally by winning the next set 25-17 to take the win.
Senior Adam Caretta had registered seven kills, 11 digs, two aces and two blocks while classmate Caio Almeida tallied 11 kills, eight digs, four blocks and one ace. For Milford, junior Chris Rivera had five kills, one ace and one assist. Sophomore Zach Browne had four kills, four aces and two blocks and senior captain Danny Zwonik had 20 assists, four aces and six digs for the Scarlet Hawks.
Millis moves to 3-0 overall and in the WAC while Milford falls to 2-2 overall and in the WAC. Millis will host St. John’s Prep on Wednesday and Milford will host Dedham on Tuesday.
