Milford Enforces Click-it or Ticket Program

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - It’s that time of year again when we’re all reminded about the importance of seat belt use.  The Milford Police Department, in partnership with the State’s Highway Safety Division and some 200-police departments across the state, are all taking part in the national “Click-it or Ticket” campaign going on now through Memorial Day.  Despite statistics which indicate that by simply buckling up, your chances of surviving a crash increases by 50-percent.  Massachusetts seat belt usage is significantly lower than the national average.  78-percent compared to 90-percent.  Milford Police officers will be out enforcing the seat belt and child passenger safety laws.  This high-visibility mobilization is an effort to reduce motor vehicle deaths and injuries.
