Milford and Hopedale Hold Hazardous Waste Collection Day

By MyFM's Rivk Michaels - The towns of Milford and Hopedale are both holding household hazardous waste collection days this Saturday.  Each town's Board of Health is sponsoring the chance for residents to get rid of their collection of hazardous waste.  In Milford, items can be brought to the Milford Highway Department on Front Street on Saturday from 9am-1pm.  There’s no charge for residents and you can find out exactly what will be collected and what will not be accepted on the town website.  In Hopedale, items can be taken to the Recycling Center on Thwing Street this Saturday from 9am-1pm.  The town’s website has a complete list of what you can drop off.  There will be a 20-dollar charge per trunk load of items and it is for Hopedale residents only.  If you have a hazardous item that you’re not sure how to dispose of it, a trained chemist will be on site, to give advice on what to do with such items.
