By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The new recreational Marijuana law provides communities with the ability to exercise some local control when it comes to the retail sale of “pot” and where these stores can locate and in Medway residents are being asked to share their questions and concerns. The Medway Board of Selectmen has put together a list of possible actions the town can take in the future. For now the Planning and Economic Development Board has placed a zoning moratorium article on the warrant for the May Town Meeting. Medway could also look at a bylaw to regulate the time, place and manner of marijuana establishment operations or a ballot question to regulate the type or number of these facilities that locate in town. The Board of Selectmen is considering a non-binding ballot question for the Town Election, also coming up in May. Medway residents can find out more information about the new recreational marijuana law on the town’s website.
