Louise M. (Giacomelli) Hutchinson, 83, of Hopedale

Louise M. (Giacomelli) Hutchinson, 83, of Hopedale and formerly of Mendon died Monday, August 14, 2017. She was the wife of the late Laurie F. Hutchinson who died in 1995. Mrs. Hutchinson was employed for several years as an inspector at the former Telecron Division of General Electric in Ashland until retiring in 1960. She had also worked at the former Stylon Co. in Milford. She was born Aug. 12, 1934 in Milford, daughter of the late Primo and Gladys (Shannon) Giacomelli. Mrs. Hutchinson loved family and was known to all as Auntie Weez. She loved sports, especially skating and sailing and had built her own sailboat. As a child, she enjoyed playing sports. Louise, along with her late husband, made wood carvings - many of which can be seen at the New England Steakhouse in Mendon. She enjoyed music and played the keyboard and organ. Louise entertained during the holidays, along with her sister and friends, at the former Hopedale Garden Nursing Home.

She is survived by a sister Arlene B. and her late husband Richard Morton of Mendon. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Robert Giacomelli and a sister Eleanor Giacomelli. The family would like to thank Dr. Constantine and all the staff at the Dana-Farber Cancer Center in Milford, as well as, a special thanks to Salmon Hospice and their wonderful staff. Special thanks to her nieces Dawn Morton Wolf, Sharon Dwyer McKenna, Debbie Morton and Cheryl Morton Overstreet for their extra loving care during Louises latest illness. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM in Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Interment will follow in Swan Dale Cemetery, Hartford Ave. East, Mendon. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
