Hopkinton Discusses Raising Tobacco Purchase Age

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - There are not many towns left across the Commonwealth that have not raised the age to buy tobacco to 21-years old.  Hopkinton is one of those towns where the age to purchase cigarettes and other tobacco products remains at 18-years of age.  However, the Hopkinton Planning Board will meet tonight and on the agenda will be discussion on a request to the members of the Planning Board to support an increase in the age to legally purchase tobacco products from 18 to 21 years of age.  Holliston is one of the latest towns to increase the age approving the move last year and went into effect a week ago on the first of the New Year.
