WMRC's Ray Auger - Tis the season for Christmas song after Christmas song on the radio. But unless you are listening to WMRC's Living For The Weekend or me filling in on Daybreak (Chirstmas week in fact!), your not likely to hear the holiday offerings of our local music community unless you follow them on their respective social media platforms and websites. Bet you didn't know that most local bands enjoy the change of musical pace around this time of year by recording a Christmas song or two of their own. Whether it's an original or a standard classic, the jingling spirit rings loud! Here's a few of my favorite things to brighten your holidays! Enjoy!

The Snow Flakes - North Pole Funk (Original Parody)

Two years ago a group of local musicians (LAME Aid) recorded the classic Do They Know It's Christmas from Band Aid and raised money for the Daily Bread Food Pantry. It was such a great experience that they decided to put together a full lenght CD of Holiday music on 2014 that raised over $1,700 for the Oliva Fund For Cancer Care at Milford Regional Hospital. That CD is still available by contacting me at firstname.lastname@example.org or through Facebook. A $5 donation gets you this great CD of local Christmas music.
Ask your favorite local band or musician if they have any Chirstmas tunes that you can replace Bing, Sinatra, Buble, Springsteen and Wham on your iPod and have yourself a very Merry Chirstmas with the Greater Milford Music Scene!
