By MyFM's Rick Michaels - A public hearing will be held in Hopkinton next week to decide the fate of a dog kennel after a criminal complaint was filed yesterday against the Director of Greyhound Friends of Hopkinton. Louise Coleman of Sherborn is being charged with a felony count of animal cruelty and authorities have shut down her kennel on Saddle Hill Road as the investigation continues into allegations of continuous unsanitary conditions and claims of dogs being mistreated. Coleman says it’s unwarranted and she says she’ll comply and feels things will be worked out. She’ll appear in Framingham District Court on Monday. Next Tuesday night the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen will hold a public hearing, at which time they may order to revoke or suspend the license for the Greyhound Friends dog kennel that’s been in operation for over 30-years.
