Genevieve A. (Hurley) Cummings, 90, of Uxbridge

Genevieve A. (Hurley) Cummings, 90, of Uxbridge, formerly of Natick and Harwichport passed away Sat. Dec. 9, 2017 in the Oak Knoll Healthcare Center in Framingham. She was the wife of the late Thomas M. Cummings, Jr. for 63 loving years before his passing in 2014. 

Genevieve was born August 30, 1927 in Schenectady, NY the daughter of that late Joseph and Ella (Mullin) Hurley. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School in NY and received her associates degree from Lasell Junior College in Newton. 

She loved being a mother and grandmother, enjoyed time on Cape Cod with family, trips to Florida and reading.

She is survived by her three daughters, Michele and her husband Sabato DeRosa of Holliston, Christine M. and her husband Joseph Bamforth of Hampton, NH and Kathleen and her husband Michael Berardi of Northborough; five grandchildren, Nicholas DeRosa, Jameson and Jillian Bamforth, and Allison and Lauren Berardi, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Cook. 

Visiting hours will be held Thursday Dec. 14, 2017 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 71 Mendon St., Rte. 16, Uxbridge. 

Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne will be held at 2 PM.
