By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Franklin residents who may be interested in volunteering and serving on the newly established Cultural District Committee have until Monday to apply for the first round of appointments. The committee has been created to attract artists and cultural enterprises, encourage business and job development, as well as establishing the district as a tourist destination. The Cultural District Committee will consist of seven-members with three-year terms after the initial staggering of the appointments. That’s so all seven-committee members don’t have their terms expire at the same time. To find out more you can check out more information on the Franklin Town website. The deadline to apply is Monday by the close of business at 4pm.
