By MyFM's Jake Archer - The Franklin boy’s lacrosse team couldn’t quite get over the hump and stage a comeback against BC High on Monday, as they fell just short and lost 8-7. BC High jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after one quarter of play and pushed that to 6-0 in the second. Finally, with about six and a half minutes to play in the second, Franklin got on the board.
Chase Tanner would score two of his four goals rather quickly to breathe life back into the Panthers. BC High would then answer back with a goal of their own to make it 7-2. Franklin would continue their onslaught though as Sam Arsenault and Tanner would find the back of the net to make it 7-4 heading into the half.
In the third quarter BC High would grab a goal rather quickly and Tanner would answer with his fourth goal of the day. The Panthers locked down on defense for the rest of the game to give themselves a shot at overtaking BC High. They would net two more goals before the end of the game but BC High was able to hold on by a thread and pull out the win.
The Panthers fall to 2-1 and will take on Attleboro on Wednesday. BC High stays undefeated at 3-0 and will face Malden Catholic next.
