By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The deadline for obtaining nomination papers for the annual Milford Town Election is by the end of the business day today. At this time, there will be five-contested races for a three-year seat on the Board of Selectmen. Incumbent Chairman Bill Buckley is being challenged by Milford Building Commissioner and School Committee member John Erickson. Running for the two-year unexpired term on the board with Brian Murray stepping down, School Committee Chairman Michael Walsh, Disabilities Commission member Harold Rhodes and Jessica LaBrecque will face-off. Planning Board member John Cook seeks re-election to a five-year term. Michael Visconte Junior is running against him. An unexpired one-year term on the Board of Assessors will see Josh Lioce and Charles Skaff squaring off and three-residents are looking to fill a two-year unexpired term as Constable, Scott Vecchiolla, Nadine LaDeau and Robert P. Sheedy. Milford Town Clerk Amy Neves says the deadline to return nomination papers is Wednesday and she says signed acknowledgement forms for Incumbant Town Meeting members, also needs to be delivered to the Town Clerk’s office by Wednesday at 5pm.
