By Rick Michaels - Milford Police and Fire departments, along with State and Hazmat officials, responded to a home on Columbus Avenue Saturday night where they believed there was possible dangerous materials located in the home. Columbus Avenue was shut down to all traffic as the search began around 5:45 Saturday night. A hazmat team was set up at Rosenfield park and emergency medical services were staged at Meade Street. The Milford Police log doesn’t indicate anything was found in the home at 5 Columbus Avenue. The search lasted several hours and no one was charged.
