Beware of New Scams

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - In just the past week a number of scams have been reported.  The latest was yesterday in Milford where a caller to a home on Country Club Lane told the resident they owed back money to the I-R-S and were told to purchase Target gift cards and someone would be by the house to pick them up.  The homeowner called police and then later said he believed there was a vehicle parked outside his house with someone to pick up the gift cards but the vehicle left before police arrived.  In Hopedale last week a resident received a call saying power would be shut-off if a payment wasn’t made to clear up a past bill.  Medway Police also issuing a scam alert targeting your computer use saying it’s been infected with a virus and requesting access to your computer to fix it and charge you.
