By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Town of Bellingham will once again be seeking proposals from qualified firms interested in the purchase and development of town-owned property, the former site of the Clara Macy Elementary School. This is the second request for proposals from developers. The first time around there were no takers. The town is hoping a change in some of the restrictions will create more interest this time around. The property is located at 60 Monique Drive. Bellingham is looking for the development of up to 12-single family homes and the project will also include public access to an adjoining parcel of town-owned land to be retained for recreational purposes. The requests for proposals, which will be accepted from now until August 28, will identify developers who demonstrate the experience and ability needed to the develop the former Macy School property.
