Authorities Continue Bellingham Drowning Investigation

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Bellingham Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives, assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, continue to investigate the drowning of a Rhode Island man at Lake Hiawatha in Bellingham on Tuesday.  42-year old Martin Armando Celado-Herrera was pronounced dead after being pulled from the lake at around 11:30 Tuesday night.  Bellingham Police and Fire responded to a report of a man in the water around 8:30 Tuesday night.  The initial investigation has found that Herrera had been in a canoe before it capsized and was not wearing a flotation device and could not swim.  The death does not appear to be suspicious however it does remain under investigation.
