Arthur C. De Boer, 58, of Hopedale passed away Thursday February 23, 2017 in Northfield, VT. He was the husband of Laurel G. (Leonard) De Boer. 

Arthur had worked as a consultant in health care management at Xcenda in Charlotte, NC for six years. 

He was born July 18, 1958 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Arthur and Jeanette (Steenstra) De Boer. He graduated from Eastern Christian High School in New Jersey, Dordt College of Iowa and received his master's degree from Fairleigh- Dickinson University in New Jersey. 

Arthur liked collecting cast iron toys and banks. He was a teacher at KIC (Kids in Community) and participated in the men's ministry service projects at the Medway Community Church. He was part of a medical missions team that went to Peru. Along with his family, he worked with an English Setter dog rescue group.

In addition to his wife of 30 years, Laurel, he is survived by his three sons, Christian J. De Boer, Anthony Q.E. De Boer and Benjamin T.C. De Boer all of Hopedale; three daughters, Emily R. De Boer, Micaela L. De Boer, and Nora D. De Boer all of Hopedale; three brothers, Ken De Boer of Charlotte, NC, Paul De Boer of LA and Don De Boer of PA; two sisters, Janet Jacobs of NJ and Ruth Barnett of ME and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 3 PM in the Medway Community Church, 193 Main St., Rte. 109, Medway. 

Services are under the direction of the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford.
