By MyFM's Rick Michaels - Beginning this morning in the Milford Town Clerk’s Office residents, who will be physically unable to vote at your polling location on the day of a special town election in September to vote on a Marijuana Ban Ballot question can pick-up an absentee ballot. Milford Town Clerk Amy Neves says you’ll need to apply for an absentee application explaining why you’re unable to make it to the polls to vote on Tuesday September 19th.
Milford residents will help decide if the town should prohibit the operation of Marijuana retailers in town. A ban, if approved, would not be in effect until the Town Meeting members would pass a by-law creating the ban on such establishments. Neves says beginning at eight o’clock this morning, and until noon the day before the Special Town Election, residents can pick up an absentee ballot at the Town Clerk’s Office. You’ll need to be a registered voter to cast a ballot. You’ll have until August 30th to register to vote on September 19th.
